Scrapping Again....

I know, I've been meaning to get round to it. But only 1 of the 3 computers in our house are working right now. That means we have to share the 1 computer between 5 of us.
Obviously with the holidays, no school or work meant no computer time for me.
But everything is back to normal [well it will be on Monday].
I've made a start already and made papers for a kit I'm working on.
Hopefully I can work more on it over the next few days and upload by Sunday.

Sorry to those who like my scraps and have e-mailed me to ask where I've been.
Thanks for being patient with me :)

I'm Alive!

I'm back up and running! I've been ill and seems like forever, but hey, I'm alive!
I had to delete some posts as the files were no longer there.
I probably backed them up at some stage, but I can't be bothered looking for them.
So, we'll start from scratch, and I'll be posting a little something for you tomorrow [or later tonight, whichever is easiest].

Let It Snow

The UK has been affected by the worst snowfall for nearly 2 decades....
It was all over the news both on the TV and in the daily papers.
Schools were closed, people couldn't get to work, there were power cuts.
Great Britain came to a standstill.
So WHERE WAS MY SNOW????

I woke at 6.30am on Monday to find half an inch of snow.
The cats wouldn't go out, my daughter was excited about walking to school in it.
Maybe we'd get some more?
The TV was full of the news that more was coming and to be prepared.
By 10am ours had disappeared and we haven't had any since.
My mum and sisters phoned me to tell me their schools were closed, refuse collectors hadn't been, there was no mail because the mailmen couldn't get to work.
And here I sat with none of the white stuff.

Oh Mother Nature, why did you miss us out?
All we wanted was a proper 'snow day' like the rest of the UK got.

I'll be back later with a little something I made.

I just have to say a huge THANK YOU to KimB for allowing me to use her kit for my new layout.
I'm a big fan of Kims work. She's an awesome designer.
I was lucky and got this baby free [anyone could have, you just had to add it to your cart within a certain time period].
I think the colours are simply fab and I know I have a few photo's I can use to scrap with it when I finally get round to scrapping.

Ahhhhh, the lack of updates.....
Wanna know why????
Well, I had an operation in November.
I had a mastoidectomy.
For those of you who don't wish to 'google' it, basically it's an operation to remove your hearing bones.
So now I have no hearing in my left ear, but I can make out certain noises.
I go to audiology on Feb 2nd to have a hearing test and to be fitted for a hearing aid.
That will please my children... NOT!
For so long they have *muttered/mumbled* [that's what it sounded like to me anyway] and now I'll finally hear what the little angels are saying!
There's no escape!
Some of you know about my pre-cancer cells that were detected in August last year.
I'm delighted to say I no longer have them.
All those trips to colposcopy clinic have paid off and I'm no longer at risk.
Just twice yearly smears for me for a while.

Now, the reason I've been AWOL.
I *think* I have a trapped nerve either in my wrist or in my hand.
It's my right hand, the one I depend the most on... for writing, typing, mousing [is that a word???] ok, ok, using the mouse, cooking, cleaning [ahhh I'll use any excuse won't I??? lololol]
But I now have it strapped up and although I still can't use the mouse properly, I can type.
I'll be off to the doctors if it's not any better by the end of next week.

Sheesh! I went on a bit there. I apologise!
Ok, back to the reason I wrote this entry...

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to quickly log on tonight [it's 7.30pm here] and wish you all an incredible New Year!
Hopefully the recession won't be as bad as what the newspapers and media are making out and things will start to get better for everyone.

I know I haven't been online for ages.
I had an operation in November and I've been recovering since.
Some days are worse than others, but I'm having more frequent good days than bad ones.

So, I'm looking forward to the New Year and sharing my goodies with you all!
I've a few bits that need finishing and lots of idea's in my head that need putting to use.

I hope your Christmas was a great one.
And I wish you all good health, wealth and happiness for 2009!

Hi everyone!
Thank you for visiting my new home.
I'm in the process of moving my scraps and Daz Studio creations over here. I wanted to keep my Wordpress blog for family only.
They visit daily to see how we're all getting on. They don't understand about scrapping and artwork, lololol!
As lots of people use Blogger I thought I'd use my redundant account that I've had here since 2004 [when your URL used to end in blogger.com and I was a blogging Jovi fan]. OMG! Those were the days! And no, I'm not about to let you peep at what I'd written.

Just a quick warning. I'm also a meme freak, so you may find a meme or two thrown in for good measure.
If you do why not play along! It's fun!
Maybe we could start a blog hop with memes instead of scraps!

I have tons to move over and upload to 4-shared. All my stuff is currently hosted at my real-life website, lolol. So as my internet lets me I'll be uploading for the next few days.

All scraps made by me are for personal use only.
Please do not use them in your own scrap kits and pass them off as your own.
Do not re-upload to your own server/online file sharing host/yahoo groups etc.
Simply direct people to my blog so they can download for themselves.
Feel free to use my kits in your online layouts/signature tags/websets etc.
